Relentless Wakestock 2010 – Cardigan Bay Abersoch North Wales now in its 11th year is Europes Largest Wakeboard and Music Festival. ExPix have been photographing this amazing event since the beginning and are the only company to have been there since the start. We have seen it grow from 500 people on the headland above Abersoch main beach as an after party to a days wakeboarding to what it is now a 3 day event ( 4 if you count Thursday nights action) with several wakeboard and wakeskate competions alongside 3 arenas and two VIP areas blasting out some of the best music around so if you want to know more .....

ExPix are in Sheffield this week as media partners and official photographers for the the BUCS Wakeboarding Nationals. The event is presented by Uniwake and hosted by Sheffield Waterski & Cable and sponsored by Relentless. With 94 competitors this has to be one of the biggest Wakeboard Competitions of the year and all credit is due to the hard work of the guys from Uniwake and Andy and the crew at Sheffield Waterski & Cable.

Beach Break Live is probably one of the biggest student festivals of the year. Set on Pembrey beach, the Welsh coast line became home for the 20,000 students who set up camp for the week. With a whole host of activities including extreme sports, it was the perfect event for ExPix to cover.

The ExPix crew were expecting a busy week; the list of events included demos from the Flexifoil  team, Craig Sparkes and Will McKean with the help from the guys from the Student Kitesurf Association (SKA) and  Soton Uni Kitesurf Club (SUKS) & kite lessons on the new style Blankforce boards from Marc Rowley of Blast Kiteboarding.

monday and the wind never showed .......big shame .... with a great turn out by trade and kitesurfers alike the event was quite a spectacle, and true to the Puremagic ethos the event wasnt detered by heavey downpours. Infact despite the torrential rain at times the people on the beach started what can only be described as an aerobics class to Black Eyed Peas - I got a feeling.

Latest from fise Extreme Sports Festival 2010 : -Ok so time for our last update from on location at Fise Extreme Sports Festival in Montpelier France. We will be adding the results and full image galleries when we get back on Tuesday so watch out for those. In the meantime enjoy the last images from the mountain bike pro competition.

So a trip along the M62 to Liverpool saw the ExPix van outside Rampworx for the Chaz Sands Invitational inline skate competition.

BUCS Windsurfing Championships

held in Calshot was yet another testimony to the way student events are growing.

With approximately 300 competitors registered to compete even with up coming exams the Student Windsurfing tour is one of the best followed events we have seen.The SWA always provide plenty of sporting action alongside lifestyle alternatives for people to participate in. This was no exception.We have to say a massive thanks to Calshot Activities Centre, Southampton University, SWA as well as Club Vass, Tushingham Sails, Goya, Gaastra, Boardwise, Spartan Wetsuits, Kai Sports, Solent Sailboards, Beachbum Beanbags, Plasma Clothing as well as boards magazine and windsurf mag for supporting the event.

Not much has been happening over the last few days, the wind just hasnt materialised however the crowds have been out in force as the sun shines down on the event site. Yesterday saw a SUP race for the kitesurfers before the presentation.

So ExPix  have arrived in Calshot for the 2010 Student Kitesurfing Nationals - the first ever national student kitesurfing competition.

Hosted by Southampton University Kitesurf Club, and sponsored by King Of Watersports, Kamikaze, Flexifoil, Hooked On, Naish, Prolimit, Aquapac & Beach Break Live, the event is aimed at the cream of university kitesurfers. The format is pure freestyle with the emphasis on FREE; old school tricks are as welcome as super, kite low, s-bends!
