Welcome to the KBO - ExPix style .... the following report has been updated throughout the event and the latest information is on the front page we hope you enjoy the report as much as we did making it. There will be a full image gallery live when we hit British shores tomorrow in the meantime sit back relax and enjoy the images from the 2010 KBO, Kitesurf Tour Europe.

We can now show our final version of the KBO documentory we have been working on. This video has been produced by a group of MA students from Bournemouth University who have been working alongside us on projects for their MA's. This was their first international event and we think they did very well with locating the right people, interviewing techniques, finding action from an event with virtually no wind and making a story out of it all ...all whilst trying to fulfil a brief for us and for their own university project So sit back and enjoy a 13mins reminder from the KBO.

Produced by Hanna Hargrave

Directed by David Klein

Dim lights

Monday morning and a 5am start .....with plenty of riders up bright and early .....some hadnt gone back to their accomodation after the traditional MEGA KBO PARTY ON THE BEACH.

EG2D9993 EG2D0045EG2D0046The forecast was always going to be light, there should have been enough to finish off the single eliminations but in true kitesurf event fashion the wind just didnt come through strong enough for the freestylers. With the wind dropping even further the decision was made to try the course racing, however the wind near the beach was extremely light and the course was set quite far of the beach ..... thankfully our 800mm lens could just a bout manage to grab a few images at the 3 - 5 km distance they were from the beach. The wind kept on dropping in strength and the KBO event site kept the crowds occupied with more activities for the families and spectators down to

So once again ExPix have been to the KBO, one of our favourite events of the year. A great atmosphere from very friendly and welcoming people. We didnt get the action we hoped for thats the weather for you but we can still film, interview and capture the event as it happens.

So after an amazingly busy weekend lots of good footage in the bag we are heading back to the UK before we once again set sail to our next event, which is the Battle for the Bay in Ireland.

We hope to be back next year at the KBO to once again report on this event and how it evolves to take on board the structured machines that is the Kitesurf Tour Europe.
