Our last article of 2011 is an exclusive interview with one of the worlds most famous characters. THE ONE AND ONLY  MR FC and some of his crew!!!!

You guys may know him better as: Santa Claus, Father Christmas, Pere Noel (France, Belgium), Papai Noel (Brazil),Dun Che Lao Ren (China), Kanakaloka (Hawaii),Weihnachtsmann (Germany), Ded Moroz (Russian), the list goes on. With extreme sports inspiring people all over the world its only fitting that our last report is with this enigmatic, secretive, yet all encompassing bringer of good will.

Whilst down in Cornwall for the Student Kitesurfing Association's Tricks for Chicks weekend, the Cribbar, Newquay's answer to Hawaii's big waves started to work. We've covered events in Cornwall for over 10 years and have somehow managed to miss this wave every time it fires!

With several professional big wave surfers eager to get some action on the waves, the tow ins began around 10am and continued all day.

ExPix were tied up initially finishing off at the chicks event so missed most of the morning and low tide sessions but headed over to the headland that over looks the reefs where the Cribbar breaks as soon as we could.

So you're sat in the office, just back from a 4 day student festival, with wakeboarding, kiting, land boarding and buggying as well as 4 nights of music and the telephone rings at approx 2 pm,  the last thing you expect is a request to travel another 230 miles to document an attempt to circumnavigate the Isle of Wight, ………..

The conversation went something like this:

After a really early start which saw us loading the van at 5.30am with all our equipment, the ExPix team set off on our journey to Noordwijk, Holland to cover the KBO. With several stops along the way in Stockport for Hannah Whiteley, Cheltenham to grab some big bean bags from the guys at Beach Bum, then to Southampton for Mr Barrett, we eventually arrived at Hurst to grab a cheeky session before we continued onto Dover for the ferry to France.

The first of our ExPix Team Riders, Hannah Whiteley and Ali Barrett were competing in the British Kitesurf Championships, Kiteival event last weekend at Redcar. ExPix went along to show some support, grab some images and get the low down on what's going on on the British scene.

Amazing news for ExPix as they reach for the skies with a massive deal with a major Airline.

Approaching Sir Richard Branson last year talks have been going on for sometime about whether it would be possible to promote or display extreme sport lifestyle brands via televisions on aircrafts. The idea thought up by Jo Edmondson was put to Sir Richard who jumped at the chance of being 'on the edge'.

ExPix will provide images from various sports which will be edited into an editorial style slideshow similar to online magazines. As yet its not known whether audio will 'narrate' the images but its a huge step forward for ExPix.

Virgin have already been at the forefront of extreme sports travel offering one of the best deals to sports enthusiasts with over sized kit and this is the next step in catering for this market. With 'lifestyle' industries growing ever bigger 'now is the time to take action' said Sir Richard.

Expix look forward to seeing the finished product with their first trip to the moon.

Well we have to say sorry to everyone we caught out, thank you to those who joined in, and lol to those who still believe it !!! but yes this was an April Fool !! Sorry guys better luck next time - but it is a good idea ! ;-) and maybe we should have a word with Sir Richard !!!!

'Going back to our Roots' is a new feature for the ExPix site and is all about the grass roots scene. ExPix have covered some amazing events over the years and have photographed and filmed some big, big names. But everyone starts somewhere, so this weekend ExPix spent some time checking out the talent closer to home

A quick Google search and we came up with the following; 'Build Rochdale a skatepark'; a Facebook group dedicated to finding a space, raising funds and liaising with the relevant authorities to build a skate park in Rochdale.

If your a regular visitor to the site you will notice that we have changed things once again.

The Billabong Ladies evening at the store in the Manchester Arndale Centre proved a hit with the girls. A good turn out watched the mini fashion show, whilst enjoying refreshments and manicures with music the live DJ.With a 20% discount on offer many people were taking advantage of this early seasonal offer.

Turkey Shoot Part 1

A last minute call from the Wilson saw us packing camera cases, suitcases and running to the delivery depot to pick up some new toys to play with.

It was Wednesday June 2009 and I still didnt know exactly where I was going, of course it was Turkey but area, accomodation, connections .... we didnt have a clue. I rang Hoggy to find out a little more and got the low down on the trip. We were going to be staying with the guys at Adrenaline Sports in Cesme (pronounced Ceshme).
