Well we're back at the British Kitesurfing Championships being held in Blackpool for round 5. We havent been to all the events this year due to such a heavy work load but it was great to receive such a warm welcome after a short absence. With one or two new faces on the scene and a few 'older' ones moving on to pastures new the first day may ahve thrown one or two surprises in to the melting pot for the pro's.

Unfortunately we dont know who's won as yet as is hasnt been anounced, that will be done later, but the mens final was between Sam light, James Boulding 1 and 2 respectively on the current tour at the moment and local hero Ali Barrett from Lytham St Annes.
The level of riding for the conditions which have been pretty strong and gusty has been consistent.
The ladies final saw Hannah Whitely, Nikki Rudd and an injured Steph Bridge... Helen Thompson the current champion missed out following an injury to her foot after a kiteloop went slightly wrong. Landing on the edge of her board after she over took the kite the ball of her foot is rather swollen, but it was one hell off a kiteloop that brought an amazing cheer from the crowd.
